About Michael Edwards, MD

Dr. Edwards is the Maternal Fetal Medicine Department director at Phoebe.

Edwards received his undergraduate degree from the Houston Baptist University in Houston. He received his medical degree at Texas Tech University School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of South Alabama Medical Center in Mobile, Ala. He also attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C. where he completed his fellowship in maternal fetal medicine.

Additionally, Edwards served as a member of the faculty at Louisiana State University School of Medicine-Shreveport in Shreveport, La. as the assistant professor of the obstetrics and gynecology department from 1994-98. He and his wife, Dunia, have two children, Nathan and Shelby.
