Lights of Love
Each year since 1983, Christmas lights representing donations to Phoebe's cancer services have adorned the "Lights of Love" Christmas tree in front of the hospital. Proceeds from the Junior Woman's Club of Albany's holiday project provide special services for patients and families dealing with the devastating effects of cancer.
However, Lights of Love is more than a holiday event, it is a year-round project, and your gifts are welcome at any time.
You can help brighten the lives of those battling a disease that strikes two out of three families. For a
suggested contribution of $25.00 or more, a symbolic light in honor or in memory of your special someone will adorn the tree. Your gift will be acknowledged and you will receive an invitation to attend the festive Lights of Love tree lighting ceremony in December. Each year, a cancer survivor is chosen to throw the switch at the ceremonial lighting of the tree, signifying hope for all cancer patients.
